This is available at Sainsbury’s!
Last week I did my first Dirty Works post on their Hot Salt Scrub. As I shop at Sainsbury’s each for the most part I thought I’d revisit the Dirty Works section again to what else they had in the range. At the moment they are 1/3 off an already bargain price so I got the body scrub. Now again I wasn’t expecting much considering the price but I do love to be proved wrong.
Wow what can I say I’m impressed. Where the Hot Salt Scrub was missing good scrubbing action this has loads of it. The sugar is nice and rough and there are plenty of grains to get decent exfoliation. This is always a bug bear with me. I hate getting a body scrub and getting all excited about using it only to find when I squeeze it out of the tube there is more shower gel than scrub. This is definitely rough enough to slough off the dry skin on problem areas such as elbows, knees, and the bumpy skin that some people suffer from on the upper arms.
This rinses really well too it’s water soluble so you don’t get a greasy mess in the tub. The only thing that I’m not that keen on is the smell. It’s a light floral scent which, as James put it ‘quite girly’. Others may be happy with it though and it’s not a deal breaker as far as I’m concerned. The exfoliation is good enough for me!

I find it interesting that you have no complains about Body Scrub made by Dirty Works as I find it difficult to get anything out of the tube, and I’m not the only one. My daughter find it hard to get anything out of it too. I agree that it’s a fantastic body scrub, but then, I have to use all my strength to get a small amount. I wonder if I got a tube with a very small opening. Did you ever encounter any similar problems?
Hello Mona
I didn’t have any problelms with the tube that I used, it does sound like your tube might faulty. If you have the receipt see if you can return it to Sainsburys. I know places can be a bit funny about returns on cosmetics but if it’s not fit for purpose then you can’t use it.
The only problem I’ve ever had (so far) with getting product out of the bottle is Lucky Tiger Face Scrub. It has the tiniest opening and when you have little bits of scrub it just doesn’t want to come out.
Let me know how you get on!

Thanks for your prompt reply. I intended to go to Sainsbury’s and show them the container. I would like to have a new one and try to see if it’s a problem with just one tube. Hope so. The product seems to be excellent and I tried a few body scrubs before.
It is a good scrub for the price, hopefully they will sort you out! Good Luck x
I made a vlog reviewing these products! You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT56CbVMVwc
Have a look! x
I just tried this out over the weekend. I’m not sure if the ‘recipe’ has changed cause I was disappointed to discover that it isn’t a sugar scrub. It’s more creamy with bits in. And the scent is very strong and slightly masculine. However, with all that said I really like this scrub cause it really leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.
