This has been around for awhile now, I do think the packaging changes now and again but you can’t miss it on the shelves. It’s like a bright yellow bird amongst the pigeons. I bought this scrub ages ago, used a few times and then forgot about it. I found it lurking behind my other scrubs in the shower with a pitiful look on it’s face so I thought it best to review it.

This contains sugar, exfoliating particles, and natural fruit (apple) extract. I know when I first used this I thought it was nice/okayish but it didn’t wow me so it went to the back of my shelves. Having re-discovered it the other day I think I may have judged it too quickly. This is a great frequent use scrub that can be used three times a week. It has a good ratio of scrubbing grains to shower gel which is very important to me. This would be a good place to start if you don’t normally use body scrub. It’s good enough to actually deliver results but not too harsh to put people off. This would also be a great pre-tanning application exfoliator as it rinses easily and doesn’t leave an oily residue. The best thing about this scrub is the smell! I forgot how much I loved it. It smells like a Gin & Tonic which somehow makes me feel really clean. Unfortunately Garnier aren’t known for their natural credentials so if you are looking for something 100% natural and organic look away now. It does suggest using body lotion or cream afterwards but I didn’t find it necessary.

Overall I think this is a great basic scrub, but it probably won’t knock the socks off hardcore scrubbing addicts. If you are a frequent traveller or regularly go to the gym this would be a good addition to your shower bag. It’s inexpensive and can usually be found on offer at Boots or Superdrug.
